XANADU
- DVD
The
movie "Xanadu" will be re-released on DVD on 24 June with a restored
picture and 5.1 surround sound. "The Magical Music Edition" will
feature a "Going Back To Xanadu" featurette and the film's theatrical
trailer. A bonus music CD with the complete soundtrack will also be
included.

book called "Xanadu The Book! Seriously!" will be released on 4
April. More than a show program, it contains a lot of color pictures
and detailed texts about the stage adaptation of the musical "Xanadu"
on Broadway. The book will be available for sale at the Helen Hayes
Theatre and the official website.

Experience,
lodges a complaint with an employment tribunal following his dismissal
on January. He played at more than 100 shows in 10 months. He
considered
that he is still owed more than £1000.

For
the 30th anniversary of the Monty Python's movie, "All You Need Is
Cash", the original Rutles band appeared for the first time in
public together (they
are the parodic Beatles
who played the film soundtrack). Jeff Lynne was present

celebrations which took place in Hollywood.

HEALEY - 1966-2008
Canadian
singer and
guitar
player, Jeff Healey died of cancer at age 41 on 2 March. Jeff Lynne
had worked with him in 1990. He had played guitar and sung background
vocals on his Beatles cover "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" on his "Hell
to Pay" album.

they attended a
concert by the bands Hot Tramps and Icarus Line.

And Ten" was attempted,
with Jeff Lynne doing some clean up of the
original John Lennon demo, and the remaining Beatles doing some basic
work on the track, but the work was eventually aborted.
Paul McCartney wished the title to be released but Ringo Starr didn't
seem to agree. However, rumour has it that that the song is finished and
could be released on the occasion of the Beatles catalogue digital
downloads release. Moreover, a version presented as being an improved
version of 1995 now circulates on the web. It seems that it must be a
fan mix. Your pick!
