The
surviving members of the Beatles are to release a new single compiled
from archive recordings. The
track called
"Now And Then" is based on a John Lennon recording given to McCartney
by the musician widow Yoko Ono. Jeff
Lynne produced the track's original
sessions:
“It
was one day – one afternoon, really – messing with
it,” he said in
1995. “The song had a chorus but is almost totally lacking in
verses.
We did the backing track, a rough go that we really didn’t
finish. It was sort of a bluesy sort of ballad, I suppose, in A minor.
It was
a very sweet song; I liked it a lot, and I wished we could have
finished it”. The song will be available before next summer.
Let's hope Jeff Lynne will be involved in this project !!!

"Blades Of Glory" movie soundtrack contains "Xanadu". Sadly, the scene
which was using the song wasn't used in the final editing. Maybe it
will be possible to see it if it features in the bonuses on the DVD
release...

rumours!!! Anyway, the release
has been delayed. No official date yet.
