"Jeff
Lynne: Electric Light Orchestra - Before And After" is a new book
written by John Van Der Kiste (also author of "Roy Wood - The Move,

It will be published on 31 August 2015. It will cover the Jeff Lynne's
entire career from his teenage days and Idle Race up to 2015. It will
also contain the full UK discography of singles and albums (vinyls and

bibliography. The book will be illustrated with some color and black
and white photos.

It's a double colored 180g vinyl LP (blue red or green) with gatefold.
It also contains a DVD bonus of the Jeff Lynne's ELO concert. This
bootleg is debated: some of them think it should be forbidden for no
respect of the copyright issues, others think it's a nice item
to
collect...

LOUIS CLARK - RECOVERY
Louis Clark was admitted to hospital in intensive care on 13 February with acute kidney
failure and blood pressure problems. He was put into induced
coma a few days later. On 22 February, his wife posted
this message on The
Orchestra website:
"We've been told by the doctors that they expect a full recovery for
Lou with minimal damage if any and that it's nearly a miracle. We can
hardly believe it. He's awake and so happy to see us".
Louis

An interesting item was on sale on eBay. It's a promotional press
invitation to a launch party to premiere the single release of
"Telephone Line" by the Electric Light Orchestra. The event
took place
at Quince, 2 Mansfield
Street, London on 06 May 1976. The invitation
features 2 sided colour card with centre opening folds. The name of the
invited was written on the front of the card. This one came from the
archives of the musical journalist Roy
Carr.

WILF GIBSON - 1942-2014
It's very sad
news. Wilf Gibson died of a short
illness in October 2014.
He was 72. He was the violinist of Electric Light Orchestra
in 1972. He played on the album "ELO 2" as well as the singles
"Showdown" and "Ma-Ma-Ma Belle". According to the ELO former bass
player Mike De Albuquerque, Wilf Gibson arranged
"Roll Over
Beethoven" although he is not given the credit for it. In 2003, he gave a very
interesting interview to the Cherry Blossom Clinic website.

interesting interview of Jeff
Lynne. He declares about ELO Part 2 with Bev Bevan: "There were quite a
few of the old band members going off doing weird things. That's not
something I want to talk about, if you don't mind".

bass flight case used by his dad in the 1970's.
