He was even described as the "legendary frontman" of ELO... Jeff Lynne
declared: "It's illegal. He's not supposed to be using the name. All we
can do is keep serving notice to desist. Hopefully, he will take notice.
It's all settled, and it was settled amicably. There was no animosity."

photos were kindly sent to me by Rochelle Higgs, wife of the sound
engineer Brendan Higgs who worked on the ELO's albums "Xanadu" and
"Time". The girl with Olivia Newton-John on the picture is probably her
sister Rona (died in 2013). Brendan Higgs was sound engineer in
concerts
(ELO, Supertramp, ELO, INXS, Heart, Ozzy Osbourne...) and worked
for Jet Records among others. He has been a plumber for years now!

musician Phil Everly died, aged 74, in California on 03 January. He was
the former member of the duet The Everly Brothers.
Jeff Lynne wrote them the song "The Story Of Me" for their album "EB
84" in 1984. He also covered their song "So Sad" on his solo album
"Long Wave". Jeff Lynne always declared that the Everly Brothers were a
major influence on his music.
